In 2022, Megan Kwan and her fellow classmates were invited to participate in Framingham Centre Common Cultural Districts “Many Cultures, One Heart” public art project. The hearts were designed to highlight the city of Framingham’s artistic and ethnic diversity through the series of heart sculptures which were painted by local artists who represented communities from different sexualities, races, ethnicities, ages, and backgrounds.
Megan partnered with a local nonprofit organization, Open Spirit to design the heart itself. She then lead a team of 12 artists in creating the piece, Bond. The team spent months working on the project in and out of class time. It now resides at Open Spirit and is used as for designs on shirts, magnets, etc.
